The Berkeley Apartments are stunning AA-approved, 4-star luxury holiday apartments in the seaside resort of Blackpool, ideal for those who appreciate total comfort, beautiful furnishings and true hospitality, who want a home-from-home (perhaps especially if on business) and who love a sea view. This is something to be enjoyed from every single one of the 13 beautifully appointed self-catering apartments, with some offering a panoramic 180° view, to relish from a Promenade balcony.
Located in a prominent position on the quieter and elegant North Promenade, Blackpool, the Berkeley Apartments can cocoon you in style, away from the hustle and bustle of the resort’s Golden Mile and yet still just a few minutes’ tram ride away from the acclaimed attractions, theatres and eateries. Step out of the front door and you can be wiggling your toes in the famous Blackpool sand in less than a minute; walk north and, on a clear day, you can drink in the sight of Morecambe Bay on the horizon, with the Lakeland Fells as its backdrop. Stay in and you can get lots of work done, whilst being inspired by the view.
One, two and three-bedroomed, en-suite holiday apartments, all individually designed and accommodating up to seven guests, are your bolthole, your love nest, or your family base camp as you have fun in England’s most popular resort, enjoying your staycation to the full.
Bring your four-legged friend to one of our ground or first-floor dog-friendly apartments and your dog too can enjoy a memorable stay.
Our Holiday Apartments’ Unique Facets
Our lovingly restored building, which has undergone a full refurbishment in 2019-20, offers guests glimpses of its past as an Art Deco, 1926, high-class hotel that, over the years, has seen the growth of the resort, its dizzy heyday and its current-day evolution. We feel it has secrets to tell and some of those may perhaps be whispered by our sun lounge mural, featuring an iconic Kevin Walsh painting of Blackpool in the 1950s – now the first thing guests see on arrival at our luxury Blackpool holiday apartments.
During our renovations, we discovered some wonderful features – stained glass, amazing plasterwork, our vintage lift and lovely tiling, so we have showcased it, to add a unique facet to our guest experience, whilst adding in little touches and design features sympathetic to the Art Deco era and talking points in themselves.
To ensure our self-catering apartment guests feel at one with Blackpool past and present, its coastline and weather, and the sands and the wildlife during their holiday or business stay, we have also incorporated what is known as the Left Coast Colour Palette into our apartment design. This range of paints has taken inspiration from the colours that make Blackpool so special, whether that is the sun reflecting off the sands, the hue of the gulls’ wings in flight, or the blaze of colour you can enjoy as you watch the sun set at sea. Just look at your door plate to see which facet of Blackpool your Apartment reflects – it’s just one thing that makes us special.
Why a Warm Welcome is Assured at our Blackpool Self-catering Apartments
We also pride ourselves on the warmth of the welcome that we (Maggie and Simon) will provide. We are here to make your stay relaxing and enjoyable and will do all we can to help you find your feet in Blackpool, if you are a first-timer, or enjoy it just as much as ever before, if not more. Our lovely housekeeper, Lesley, will service your apartment weekly, if you are staying for longer than 7 days, and you can request the option of a daily housekeeping service, if you wish. We have on-site parking available for those who book direct and a laundry room, sun lounge, front patio and rear courtyard, all at your disposal. We will be here when you need us and leave you in peace when you don’t.
Where do you go from here?
We very much hope you will choose to book one of our luxury self-catering holiday apartments, of course, but there are other answers to this question. In just 75 minutes, you can reach a famous Lake District destination such as Bowness-on-Windermere or be roving the incredibly beautiful Forest of Bowland and iconic areas such as Nicky Nook. In less than an hour, you could be exploring Morecambe, perhaps taking advantage of the amazing birdwatching opportunities around The Bay. Southport is another great place to discover, which could be on your radar, but look closer to home and you could be enjoying the café culture of Lytham St Annes or viewing the Paleolythic ‘Poulton Elk’, in the Harris Museum in Preston.
There are a host of delightful villages to explore, from Scorton – a mecca for cyclists – to Wrea Green, with its famous duck pond and tranquil village green. Lancaster and its high-flying University are around a 40-minute drive away, if you wish to catch up with your son or daughter studying there, whilst UCLAN, in Preston, is even closer.
Convinced that our four-star luxury self-catering apartments are right for your holiday, mini-break, or longer business stay? Booking is just a click away.
