Here at the Berkeley Apartments, we can’t wait to open the doors to our luxury self-catering apartments again, once we are able to legally do so, in mid-May 2021 (all being well!).
It has been a long wait, with very little opportunity afforded to us in 2020, to show off the fantastic refurbishment programme we had been through last winter, including the creation of our fabulous and ultra-cool apartments, 101 (Terrace) and 204 (Swell), for which we had the inspiration of an interior designer.
The good news is that we’ve used the time in between visitors to carry out even more refurbishment works, so everything is truly looking tip-top. All it lacks is you and your loved ones here with us, in our lovely Art Deco building, having a great time relaxing on the Fylde Coast and enjoying all of its pleasures.
When we do re-open, our apartments will be the ideal place to be, if you want to dip in to the busy side of Blackpool but then retreat for relaxing evenings spent watching the sun go down, from your apartment on Queen’s Promenade. It’s just a very short hop from here to nearby Bispham and Cleveleys, full of eateries to tickle the taste buds, whatever your choice of cuisine.
You can also jump on a tram, from just a short distance away, and travel either north towards Fleetwood or south towards central Blackpool and the shops. Go a little further on and you will reach the Pleasure Beach. If you have a car, travelling further down the coast will lead you to Lytham St Annes, a perfect place to mooch around if you love café culture and independent shops, not to mention, of course, our ever-present sea.
We feel this option of ‘doing Blackpool’ or just delving into its attractions, theatres, restaurants and clubs when you wish to, is perfect for anyone who wants lots of things to do but doesn’t want to be constantly in the thick of things. After all, we have just as glorious a beach right across the road from our apartments and it’s a quieter one too! Should you want to walk the dog, cycle along the seafront or stroll contentedly in the open air, just cross the Promenade and do it with the sea at your side, or head inland and explore the Rock Gardens – just up the hill behind us and along a bit!
We have no idea what the resort will ‘look like’ when it emerges from under wraps but being Blackpool, it is likely to do all it can to put on a show for you – in every sense.
This will truly be the year of the ‘staycation’ like no other, so get those bookings in quickly, or you may miss out. Could this be the year you visit Blackpool for the first time? We promise to coax you gently into it all and give you a wonderful bit of escapism when you return to us, after your glorious day out discovering just how much there is to do here and how Blackpool and the Fylde Coast could be considered an absolute ‘chocolate box’ of delights for the children.
